Lea-Ann & Sam make Dementia Friends

Dementia FriendsOn World Alzheimer’s Day we made over 40 new friends, with a session at Margaret House and a 2nd one at Barley Scouts, which was a very fun filled and lively occasion! The scouts have offered to come in to Margaret House to do puzzles/games with residents and to help with any odd jobs as well as to sing for us at Christmas, so we look forward to seeing more of them shortly around the home.

Stepping out with Carers

Stepping out with carersEnid, Heather, Lea-Ann & Sam all had a fabulous time when they went to St Pauls Walden Bury. As well as walking in the beautiful grounds & finding a tree swing, they then had lunch with the Queen Mum’s nephew. Enid said afterward “I’ve had a fantastic day—I feel like a different person”. We are all looking forward to the next event in December.

New Entertainment!

We have some different things happening in October, please do come along and join in with us all, they include:

2nd October – U3A Ukulele Band. Some of the members of Royston U3A are coming in to play some great tunes for us.
16th October – Sssh! We’re having a silent disco.
