We held what we think was the 1st Silent Disco in the UK today especially for older people and those living with dementia. Groove Silent Disco are being trained by Move and Groove an Aussie company that currently provides these specialist music sessions.
It was fantastic how people got engaged hearing the music for themselves through the headphones, even including residents who couldn’t leave their rooms.
We are thrilled that Groove have chosen Margaret House as the home they are going to trial the new sessions with and can’t wait for them to come again.
